Tom Snyder age 87 of Big Prairie, Ohio passed away suddenly Monday August 5, 2024, at Pomerene Hospital with family by his side.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Freeport for the family.

Tom was born June 18, 1937, in Berlin Center, OH, and was the son of the late Allen T. and Marie (Houdyshell) Snyder. Tom retired from Menuez Bros. Sand and Gravel.

Tom loved spending time outdoors and was always there to lend a helping hand. He cherished spending time with his kids and grandchildren, leaving behind many good memories. He enjoyed working in his garden or sitting at the kitchen table watching birds at their feeders.

Surviving are children, Dan Snyder of Freeport, OH, Genie (Rick) Davis of Big Prairie, OH, Dale Snyder of Glenmont and Patrick Justice of the home; grandchildren Mike Decker of Fredericksburg, OH, Dan (Megan) Snyder Jr. of College Station, TX, and Dale Snyder of TN; great grandchildren Cody, Hayley, Colin, Chloe, and Jace Snyder of College Station, TX.

He was preceded in death by his father Allen T. Snyder Sr., Mother Marie H. Spears, and grandson Bradley A. Snyder.
