Alfred G. Reed

Alfred G. Reed, age 87, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Pomerene Hospital with family at his side. 

Private graveside services will take place at Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio.

Alfred was born June 18, 1934 in Creamery, West Virginia and was the son of Reginald Grant and Edna Faye (Smith) Reed. On August 15, 1955 he married Loretta Gaye Criddle and she survives. 

Alfred was a West Holmes School District bus driver for 31 years. He was involved with the Millersburg Police Auxiliary for a number of years. He had a part in helping build the bowling alley in Millersburg and in his younger years was an avid bowler.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Barbara Ellen Henry of Killbuck, Charlotte (Russell) Snyder of Warsaw, Roger Dale Reed (Cheryl McCluggage) of Millersburg and Ronald G. (Melissa) Reed of Blissfield; 10 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one step great grandchild; a great great granddaughter; and two sisters, Carolyn (Bobby) Holiday of Alderson, West Virginia and Sharon Mullins of Mullins, West Virginia. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Rodney; a sister, Dreama Forren; a grandson, Jason Wright; a great grandson, Caleb Raber; and a great great grandson, Parker Cox.
