Ada A. Scherer, 93, of Millersburg, passed away June 20, 2025, at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.

Private graveside services will be held at Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery, New Bedford, Ohio.

Ada was born June 7, 1932, in Coshocton County, Ohio and was the daughter of Abe D. and Lucinda M. (Sommers) Troyer. On December 1, 1955, she married C. Frank Scherer, and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1986. Ada worked at Castle Nursing Homes and Inn Maid Noodles. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, especially tending to her Irises. Ada was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

Ada is survived by her daughter, Lois (Joel) Troyer; grandchildren Caitlin Long and Cordell Troyer; eight great grandchildren; son Anthony Troyer; grandchildren Melinda (Bud) Raber, Michael Troyer, Jeremy Troyer, and their families; sister-in-law Esta Troyer and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by all her siblings.
