William "Junior" Carter

William "Junior" Carter, age 87, of Shreve, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, Millersburg, Ohio after a period of declining health.
Funeral services where held 2 p.m. Thursday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. Pastor Daron Butler officiated. Burial took place at Newkirk Cemetery. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.
Junior was born July 27, 1930 in Mt Vernon, Ohio and was the son of William Charles Fredrick and Macel Grace (Pigman) Carter. He married Donnia Virginia Woods and she preceded him in death December 8, 2001. He later married Mary Bennett and she survives.
Junior retired from both Wooster Iron and Metal and from Mt Hope Fence after 25 years of service for both companies. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to his wife Mary are children, William Gene (Annie) Carter of Wooster and Jane, Bill, Charlie, Joyce, Dan, June, Peggy, Paulett, Randall, Lonnie, Patricia, Danny, Ike, Jessie, George, Jason, Lincoln, John and Amy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley, Carol, Alice and Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; seven step children; two great-grandsons; and one great-great-grandson.
