Ruth M. Miller, age 88 of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Holmes County Home, surrounded by family, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Tom Nye officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Friends may call from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ruth was born June 30, 1931 in Glenmont, Ohio and was the daughter of Bernard Hamilton and Lula (Clark) Martin. on June 30, 1949 she married Marvin Miller and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1995.
Ruth retired from Central Heating where she was co-owner along side her husband. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Berlin and had attended Community Bible Church. Ruth enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, cooking, baking and making "Grandpa's Famous" Beef Jerky.
She is survived by three children, Kathy (Earl) Klay, Elaine Miller and Tammy (Brant) Shaffer. Ruth was "Grandma Chicken" to 12 grandchildren, Stacey Miller, Danielle (Chad) Miller Weeks, Monique Miller, Jeremy (Yoon Hee Kim) Stitzlein, Jon (Shea) Stitzlein, Jamie (Joe) Aufrance, Joshua Carsner, Brooke Klay, Marshall Klay, Stephanie (Brian) Yoder, Nicholas (Ashley) Gerber, and Nathan Shaffer; and 13 great-grandchildren, Aubree and Haven Weeks, Kenley Nieman, Micheal and Grace Stitzlein, Conar and Jacobi Stitzlein, Mia, Brynley and Nash Aufrance, and Lillian, Aurora and Daphne Yoder. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 8 siblings and their spouses; a son, Tony L. Miller; and a great-grandson, Cameron Carr.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at both the Holmes County Home and LifeCare Hospice and also to Ruth's special nieces, Wanda Christopher - Finn, Ginger Purdy and Judy Allison for all the love and continuous care they had given to Ruth.
