Richard "Dick" L. Shoenfelt, age 70, of Nashville, Ohio passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center following a brief illness.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30th at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio where military rites will be conducted by the United States Army's honor guard. Richard was born June 26, 1948 in Troy, Ohio and was the son of Lowell Richard and Virginia (Stephens) Shoenfelt. He was a 1967 graduate of West Holmes High School and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army. On August 22, 1976 he married Sherrie Thomas and she survives.
Richard retired after working 34 years at Rubbermaid in Wooster and then worked 12 years at Millersburg Walmart, retiring in 2016. He enjoyed working on cars, going to flea markets and yard sales and he loved antique cars and attending car shows.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Heath Shoenfelt of Westerville, Heather (Will) Crayton of Big Prairie and Holly (Mike) Loftus of Newcastle, England; four grandchildren, Eleah and Layla Crayton and Temi`s and Jule`s Shoenfelt; and a sister, Cheryl Shoenfelt of Orrville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
