Pat Leppla, age 81, of Nashville, Ohio passed away Friday morning, May 10, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 13th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Duane Galbraith officiating. A private family burial will take place in Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, Ohio. There will be no calling hours. Pat was born July 25, 1937 in Ashland, Ohio and was the daughter of Carl J. and Reba (Jones) Drake. On September 3, 1955 she married Larry B. Leppla, he survives.
Pat was a 1956 graduate of Mansfield Beauty College. She was a Nashville librarian for many years and was head cook at Nashville Elementary School for over 40 years. She was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church where she was a past Sunday School Teacher. Pat was a 4-H advisor for many years and a past member of the Nashville Garden Club and enjoyed showing flowers at the Holmes County Fair. Pat loved gardening, shopping and family vacations to the Outer Banks. She loved her husband, her family and her dog, Cooper. She always had something positive and upbeat to say everyday, even posting daily inspirational quotes on social media.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Terri Brillhart of Millersburg, Marty Leppla of Lakewood, Shari Oswalt of Nashville, Tim Leppla (Jennifer Howell) of Cambridge and Tom (Dorothy) Leppla of Millersburg; grandchildren, Ashley (Evan) Hershberger, Matt Brillhart, Alysia Brillhart, Kayla Oswalt, Carly (John) Rice, Mariah (David) Chupp, Taylor (Holly) Leppla, Sawyer Leppla (Kelsi Thompson), Connor Leppla, Keaton Leppla (Kiana Austin) Kacie Leppla and Kylie Leppla; great-grandchildren, Landon and Bryson Leppla, Haisley "Gracie" Rice and one more great-grandchild on the way; a niece, Christa (Dean) Hissong; great nephew, Cole Hissong; a cousin, Terry Jones; and her faithful four-legged companion, Cooper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons-in-laws, Charles Oswalt and Dave Brillhart.
