Mervin "Merv" Keim, age 72, of Shreve, Ohio passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio surrounded by his family following a year long battle with cancer.
Graveside and Military Services will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio at a later date. Mervin was born January 1, 1946 in Holmes County, Ohio and was the son of Aden J. and Sevilla H. (Miller) Keim.
Merv was currently retired but was previously General Manager of KMS Steam Supply and was a truck driver for H.R. Ewell Inc. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, serving in the US Army. Merv enjoyed gambling, model trains and was an avid coin collector.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly Keim; two grandchildren, Myah (Daniel) Patrushev and Tyler Schmidt; a great-grandson, Grayson Patrushev; 6 siblings, Malinda (Bert) Miller, Clara (Dave) Hershberger, Esther (Eli) Miller, Jonas (Emma) Keim, Robert (Debbie) Keim and Paul (Leona) Keim; a sister-in-law, Sara Keim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents ;and two brothers, Roy A. Keim and Aden Keim Jr.
