James W. Wilson, age 91, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Akron City Hospital, Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 26th, at the First Presbyterian Church of Millersburg with Reverends Eldon Trubee and Christopher Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. James was born November 9, 1927 in Akron, Ohio and was the son of William Edward and Myrtle (Louthan) Wilson. Jim graduated from Garfield High School and the University of Akron. He served in the United States Navy on the Battleship Massachusetts and was part of the greatest generation. In peacetime he devoted himself to educating young people. He served principalships at North High School and Goodrich Jr. High School in Akron. Jim was a lifelong Mason and a member of the Spartan Lodge F & AM #126. He was proceeded in death by brother, William Wilson; sister, Lois Watson; and daughter, Amy Wilson. He is survived by wife, Dolores, of 66 years; sons, William (Jeanne) Wilson of Montana and James Wilson of Akron; a daughter, Roberta (Kevin) McGregor of Akron; and a granddaughter Jamie McGregor of Akron.
