James Charles Rohr

James Charles Rohr, Age 83, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 surrounded by the love and care of his family, following a battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, Ohio. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.

James was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio on October 24, 1934. He was the son of Augustine and Irene Rohr and was the ninth of their 10 children. James was a Brick Mason by trade. He had a passion and love for his family, farming and fishing, and loved holiday family get together's.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Melva (Day) Rohr; six children, Christopher (Jody) Rohr, Elizabeth Rohr, Timothy (Evelyn) Rohr, Virginia Wilcox (Jon Sweiger), Anita (Doug) Craycraft, and Noelle Rohr; 18 grandchildren, Tiffany (Josh) Stutzman, Jennifer (Zach) Kaiser, Katelyn (Jack) Zimmerly, Rachel (John) Embree, Brandon, Chase, Spencer, Forrest, Jesse, Madeline Saunders, Renee (Jack Gum), Matthew, Marcus (Kallie Wilson), Jessica and Rebecca Rohr, Jarrod Rich (Cece Wolf) and Ian and Cole Wilcox; 4 great grandchildren and one more on the way; 3 brothers, George, Louis and Daniel Peter Rohr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Meeting him in heaven will be his parents; and siblings, Henry, Maurice, Alvin, Rita, Beatrice and Arline.
