Ethel (Proper) Gallion

Ethel Gallion, age 86, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away Wednesday evening, October 9th, 2019 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, Millersburg Ohio, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastors Dale Duncan and Clifford Beck officiating. Burial will take place in Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ethel was born March 26th, 1933 in Holmes County and was the daughter of Orange C. and Zelma (Stills) Proper. 

Ethel retired from Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg after working 21 years. She was a member of the Killbuck Church of Christ. Ethel enjoyed doing crafts and word search puzzles and was involved in her church community.

Surviving is her daughter, Sherry Morris of Jacksonville, Florida; step-children, Charles Gallion and Mary Ann Gallion both of Canton, Ohio and Kenneth (Chris) Gallion of Millersburg, Ohio; step daughter-in-law, Betty Loos of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; numerous step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren; nieces who where almost sisters, Verla Lang and Patsy Johnson both of Columbus, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ransome "Randy" Ervin; second husband, Upton "Bill" Gallion; daughter, Dawn D. Ervin; 2 sons, Michael "Mike" (Sharon) Ervin and Gerald "Gary" Ervin; step son, Gary Loos; a grandson, Barry Price; a granddaughter, Christina Hart; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
