Edward Lee Vannatta, age 64, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away peacefully, Thursday May 16, 2019 while listening to his favorite song by The Eagles, Desperado.
Ed was born January 20, 1955 in Lakewood, Ohio and was the son of Robert and Priscilla (Lee) Vannatta.
Ed was a machinist at Killbuck Machine for 10 years, was owner-operator of Country Greens Miniature Golf and game room for 7 years, worked 10 years at the Inn at Honey Run as Maintenance Supervisor and was an artist/painter for Rustain for 15 years.
Ed had a love for motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidson. He liked to fix up and restore bikes and cars. He designed and built Sticky Finger Foods food truck, and built his own cabin home and motorcycle shop that he ran out of his garage. Ed was an artist and was very creative. He was a talented photographer and painter. Ed painted professionally, working on many local murals. As a hobby he enjoyed painting rocks to hide for people to find. He also made rings and bracelets out of spoons and silver, and created dollhouse furniture. Ed was also a lifelong and passionate Cleveland sports fan and watched his teams every chance he got. He loved Daytona Beach, Florida, Lake Erie, Marblehead and the Marblehead Lighthouse.
Surviving are his mother Priscilla Vannatta; his brother, Robert (Vicki) Vannatta; two children, Gretchen Vannatta and Nathaniel (Sarah) Vannatta; and his former wife of 27 years, Carol Miller and her husband, Nathan Miller. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert H. and Selma Vannatta and Oscar and Imogene Lee; and his father, Robert Vannatta.

A Celebration of Life luncheon will take place Saturday, June 1st from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the home of Nathan and Carol Miller, 9537 County Road 292, Millersburg, Ohio 44654.
