David Eugene Graser, age 62, of Glenmont, Ohio passed away Monday morning, January 21, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family and dog Blu, following an extended illness. Private graveside services will take place with pastor Leston Followay officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. David was born January 10, 1957 in Wooster, Ohio and was the son of Frank and Helen (Sovel) Graser, Sr. On October 31, 1993 he married Patricia Anne Stapleton and she preceded him in death on October 9, 2016. David was a truck driver most of his life working in the Blacktop and Asphalt Industry. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, model cars and loved working on his truck. He is survived by six children, Shauna Graser (fiance, James Ison) of Wooster, Ohio, Jacinda (James) Boughman of Glenmont, Ohio, Amanda (Adam) Stapleton of Glenmont, Ohio, Matthew Graser (girlfriend, Monica) of Apple Creek, Ohio, Lizabeth (Robert) Lapp of Big Prairie, Ohio, and Christopher Graser (fiancee, Sarah Fixel) of Genoa, West Virginia; adopted daughter, Caitlin Rister of Glenmont, Ohio; 19 grandchildren and one more on the way; siblings, Frank (Cathy) Graser Jr. of Wooster, Ohio, Robert (April) Graser of Apple Creek, Ohio, James (Angie) Graser of Wooster, Ohio, William Graser of Shreve and Rose Graser of Shreve, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Sam (Della) Stapleton of Genoa, West Virginia and Boyd (Letha) Stapleton Jr. of Branchland, West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia, a son, David Jr.; and a nephew, Brad Stapleton Sr. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to LifeCare Hospice nurses; Jen, Barb and Laura for the love, compassion and care given to David and also a special thank you to his aunt Betty Easterday for all of her help and support.
