Barton Welsh Obituary

Dr. Barton R. Welsh, age 81, of Millersburg passed away peacefully on Friday evening, September 27, 2019, following an extended illness.

Private graveside services will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, with the Rev. Eldon Trubee officiating. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Dr. Welsh was born January 25, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio and was the son of Glenn and Marie (Murphy) Welsh.

He graduated from Libby High School (Toledo) and attended the University of Michigan and The University of Toledo. He was a 1963 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1963-1965. After his service, he and his family moved to Millersburg where he practiced dentistry until his retirement in 1995.

He is survived by his two children, daughter, Joyce (Thomas) Weber of Strongsville and son, Brad (Melissa) Welsh of Millersburg; five grandchildren, Katie, Glenn, Kelsey, Reagan and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Mary Kay Welsh.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
