Marvin R. "Bud" Lemon

Marvin R. "Bud" Lemon, age 84, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Holmes County Home following an extended illness. 
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Jackie Lewis officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio where Military Rites will be conducted by the Melvin McClure, Holmesville American Legion Post 551. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bud was born September 27, 1937 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the son of Thomas B. and Grace (Bellman) Lemon. On March 30, 1974 he married Marie M. Johnson, and she survives. 
Bud was a graduate of Waynedale High School and a US Army veteran. He was a farmer and retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation. Bud was a member of the Melvin McClure, Holmesville American Legion Post 551. He enjoyed his nightly country drives and going to Keystone Hill to listen to his boys and brother-in-law play music. 
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and their spouses, John "Ponch" (Angie) Johnson of Millersburg and Marvin Douglas (Suzy) Lemon of Shreve; four grandchildren, Shawn (Jill) Johnson, Patrick (Amber) Boudreaux, Garrett Myers and Paxton Lemon; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin D. (Deanne) Lemon of Holmesville; his sister, Mary Shriver of the Holmes County Home; and a brother-in-law, Alfred D. Johnson of Holmesville. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walker Dale Lemon, Jack Lemon, Sam Lemon, Frank Lemon and Tom Lemon; and a brother in law, Jim Shriver.
The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to the Holmes County Home and also to LifeCare Hospice for all of the love, care and support they gave to Bud during his stay.
