Marlene D. Maurer, age 72, of Nashville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, following a short illness.

Marlene was born June 4, 1948 in Wayne County, Ohio and was the daughter of Ted and Fern (Orr) McCloy. She was a graduate of Waynedale High School. Marlene was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and sewing. She was very handy with a hook. Marlene loved taking care of animals, even bottle feeding them at her kitchen table.
She is survived by three children, Shawn (Cindy) Mitchell of Burton City, Ohio, Nathan Mitchell of the Dover area and Heath (Tabatha) Maurer of Orrville, Ohio; three grandchildren; and her sister, Lynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Karen; stillborn twins; and her significant other of 30 years, Richard Brown.
