Donald Eugene Reed

Donald Eugene (Duke) Reed age 74 of Big Prairie passed away Thursday September 24, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Nashville Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 2 PM at the Nashville Cemetery.

Donald was born in Millersburg, Ohio on January 11, 1946 to the late Lister and Florence (Zigler) Reed. He married Barbara Ann Kline on September 7, 1968 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Big Prairie High School. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Recon Platoon in Vietnam in 1966-1967. Donald was a farmer his entire life and was a member of the American Legion. He loved to farm, go coon hunting, relax with his favorite dog Duke and spend countless hours sharing wisdom with his family and friends at the kitchen table.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 52 years and two daughters; Sarah (James) Klingler and Virginia (Dennis) Pringle. Four grandchildren; Daniel Klinger (Katrina Hillerich), Kevin Klingler (Amber Purvis), Alysa Pringle and Alex Pringle. One great grandchild Coraline Klingler and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
