Denver Gamertsfelder Obituary


Denver Gamertsfelder, age 77, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family, following an extended illness.

Denver was born September 18, 1943 in Blissfield, Ohio and was the son of Walter Henry and Golda Edith (Neville) Gamertsfelder. On September 6, 1967 he married Vonda Lee Cox, she survives.
Denver was a semi truck driver his whole life for W. H. Gamertsfelder & Sons. In the 1960s, he served as a National Guard. Denver enjoyed driving his old John Deere tractor in the field, watching Westerns, and watching the Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes play football.
Surviving an addition to his wife Vonda are three children and their spouses, Troy Lee (Shelley Rose) Gamertsfelder, Tracy Lynn (Rodney Allen) Baker and Denver Chad (Susan Darlene) Gamertsfelder; seven grandchildren Morgan (Korey) Kelling, Gustin (Kristen Le) Baker, Ali (Blake) Shamp, Mike (Malori) Snyder, Shawn (Jill) Johnson, Amber (Patrick) Boudreau and Colista Gamertsfelder; and great-grandchildren, Kaine, Knova, Michael, Holdyn, Rozlinn, Jezabella, Saint, Grayson, Boone, Storm, Remi, Harlie and another one on the way.
He is also survived by brothers, Kenny Gamertsfelder, Ray Gamertsfelder, Dean (Sandra) Gamertsfelder and Marvin (Ann) Gamertsfelder as well as  numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt Thank You to Jozlynn Giauque for her willingness to always help with Grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters-in-law, Pauline Gamertsfelder, Marie Gamertsfelder and Harriet Fair.
