Betty Ann (Jones) Kaufman

Betty Ann Kaufman, age 95, passed away March 6, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Wooster, Ohio.

Betty was born February 17, 1928, in Orrville, Ohio and was the daughter of Nelson and Edna (Brenneman) Jones.  She graduated from Orrville High School and attended Wooster Business College before marrying David O. Kaufman of Wooster, Ohio in 1947.  Betty and David were married for 49 years, he preceded her in death in 1997.  Betty was employed by the City of Wooster as a school crossing guard and a meter maid, she also worked for Regal Ware Inc. and the H. Freelander Co.  She later moved to Holmes County near Glenmont, where she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren.  Betty was an ardent Ohio State Buckeye football fan and was also a fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Surviving are three children; son, David N. Kaufman of Orrville, Ohio, daughter, Vicki (Dave) Thompson of Sterling, Virginia, and son, Daniel E. Kaufman of West Salem, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a brother, Richard O. (Carol) Jones of Orrville, Ohio and best friend, Lily Sampson.
She was preceded in death by grandsons, Aaron N. Kaufman and Rick Johnson and great grandson, Jeremiah Johnson.
