Larry D. Salisbury, age 72, of Holmesville, Ohio passed away suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2019.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio. A private family graveside service will follow at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio. Larry was born June 4, 1946 in Clay County West Virginia and was the son of Wilbert and Marie (Underwood) Salisbury. On September 29, 1967 he married Cheri Grove and she survives.
Larry was owner and operator of C&L Tire in Holmesville, where he could always be counted on to shoot the breeze with friends or lend a hand to a neighbor or stranger. He was a member of Killbuck Valley Sportsman's Club and enjoyed coon hunting. He also looked forward to his garden every year. Most of all, Larry loved his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Terri Butterbaugh of Shreve, Kim D'Intino of Wooster and Steph (Beau) Baker of Millersburg; four grandchildren, Alex Hoessle (Kristina Howe), Austin Butterbaugh, Kenton Baker and Paxton Baker; a great-granddaughter, Macy Hoessle; his mother, Marie Salisbury of Clay County West Virginia; siblings, Jimmy (Sheila) Salisbury of Clay County West Virginia, his twin brother, Lloyd (Stephanie) Salisbury of Pennsylvania and Ruth Ann (Randall) Workman of Dixie, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Gary Salisbury.
Larry was a Life Bank donor, selflessly giving the gift of life and sight to others.
