Eddie Blaine Lyons, 60, of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on July 22, 2026, after an extended illness, surrounded by his loved ones. Born near Sutton, West Virginia, on October 17, 1965, he was the son of Richard and Alice (Ferrebee) Lyons.

Raised in Holmes County, Ohio, Eddie was a true outdoorsman who loved growing vegetables in his garden, fishing, and hunting for deer and mushrooms. He was a hardworking, dependable man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a handyman for many years, alongside his uncle, Ed Beckett with whom he shared a close bond. 

He shared over thirty years of love, laughter, and companionship with his significant other, Mary Haislep, who preceded him in death.

Eddie is survived by his daughter, Willesa (Benjamin) Cummins; granddaughters, Susan and Mackenzie Cummins; brothers, Roger, Clifford, Timothy, and Michael; sisters, Iris Cabe and Loretta Yutzy; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Among those who held a special place in his heart was his niece, Mary (Caleb) Limbacher, who devoted many years to Eddie providing friendship and care. The family also extends a special thank you to his nephew, Franklin Spurlock, and great-nephew, Jerrod Limbacher, for providing him with additional care and companionship in his final weeks.

In addition to his significant other, Mary, he was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Alice; and brothers, Richard and William Lyons.

Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg is assisting the family. A private memorial service will be held by family at a later date.
