Tom "Big T" Harris, age 71, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away Saturday evening, August 26, 2017 at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio surrounded by his family following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor Dale Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Killbuck Cemetery with military rites being conducted by the Killbuck VFW. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Tom was born May 24, 1946 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of Edward Howard and Gladys (King) Harris. He worked 25 years for IAC in Holmesville retiring in 2009. Tom was a proud Vietnam veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Killbuck VFW Post 7079. Big T was an avid sports fan of the Yankees, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved road trips with his dog, Buddy.
He survived by his daughter, Jill Doyle of Killbuck; two brothers, Ronald (Betty) Harris of Millersburg and Charles (Judy) Harris of Coshocton; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Laura Harris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Yavonne Hoxworth; his son, Phillip Baker; and his dog, Buddy.
