Always an encouraging word and kind comment. Sheldon was a great support to his friends at Moody Radio and worked tirelessly to bring WCRF to Holmes County along with many others. A faithful servant of Christ. Love to the entire family.

I always looked forward to my visits with Sheldon and Millersburg Tire. Sheldon always shared his knowledge of the tire industry and his wisdom of a good and Christian Life. He had one of the greatest humors ever. My sympathies to the Schmucker Family, you will be in my prayers.

To the entire Schmucker family go the thoughts and prayers of many this week. I am very saddened to hear of Sheldon's passing and it was my honor to interview he and Art about the storied history of Millersburg Tire Service. He will be missed and I send my deepest condolences to you all.

The memories of Uncle Sheldon that make me smile the most are those of him as an unrivaled giver. Despite repeatedly declining, he desperately wanted to give me a giant bottle of cranberry juice on which he'd just gotten a great deal. When we visited, he always wanted to take me and Mark out for a round of golf - during the round of golf, he'd spend more time fishing balls out of lakes than actually playing - probably so that he could give those golf balls away later. He seemed to give away so much Ohio cheese to everyone we met that he might have been the biggest cheese distributor in the state of Florida. Most importantly, he and Aunt Blanche were and are always willing to open their home & their hearts to our family. I'm thankful for Uncle Sheldon & all his gifts and the joy with which he gave them. He will be missed

I have many great memories of Sheldon when my mother, Margaret Allison, worked at Millersburg Tire in the "old" days on Washington St. My condolences to everyone. RIP Sheldon.

The Lord opened the door, and Sheldon walked through to the other side. I didn't know your dad that well, but "we" were friends. He made Millersburg different by his presence. And he left his imprint on his children as well as his many friends and associates. Well done, Sheldon. Life is about people, and service puts the Lord first. Sheldon's life exemplified this.

Uncle Sheldon was an entrepreneur who had a heart of gold and love for god. He helped my parents buy their first home and was always a great uncle to me. He liked to Go Go Go, The Auction, The Red Barn, Golf, Teach, and understood how to make a dollar. He absolutely loves family and was a great brother to my mom. Thank you for all the great memories Uncle Sheldon!

Sheldon was a good brother who was helpful, energetic, teaser, ornery, and loved ice cream and cookies. He hated ONIONS.
Sheldon started his tire business buying and selling tires on our farm in Louisville and later moved his business to Millersburg.
