Mary and I met on the Stutzman Cousins bus trip and shared some great times! She will be missed but I'm sure she is now fully enjoying the greatest trip of all. Until we meet again, Mary, enjoy those heavenly gardens, reuniting with those who have gone before, and best of all, meeting Jesus face to face! With prayers for the friends and family left behind, may the peace of God surround you all.

Thanks for these words, Kathy. Those cousin trips meant so much, and she talked a lot about you and Paul! :)

Mary was a champion and mentor to me. She always had time to listen. I had the special honor of working alongside her at CCC and becoming her friend. We shared our love of crafty things, photography and gardening and I have been friends or acquaintances with all of her daughters. Although I no longer live in Holmes county I'm sure I still have some of the perennials she was so willing to share.
My husband and I went on a business buying trip in the 90's with Mary and Clyde to Providence, Rhode Island. We took out time to enjoy the sights as we traveled and searched for interesting restaurants and landmarks along the way and stayed on the same room for our lodging. What a hoot! We visited The Old Stonington Lighthouse in Connecticut while on this trip. I recently painted a water color of it and spoke to her on the phone to nail down the location of a lighthouse for the painting.
We also talked about the drives around Holmes County seeing the countryside and her health during these conversations.
I will miss her. May she rest in peace.

Pat, I love these memories you shared. It's been so cool seeing how your parents affected others. As a child you don't see it, as an adult you sometimes don't either. When they're gone, it all becomes clear.

Thinking of your family as you celebrate your Mothers life and share memories. We learned to know Mary on a Stutzman cousins bus trip (although we weren't cousins). She was a joy to be around.

Spending time at the Sundheimer house when I was a teen was always the best. Missy's mom was sweet and kind. There was usually cake and baseball all summer long. I never called this sweet lady Mary, she was Missy's mom. She would come and check on us when we slept in the motor home and we knew safety was as close as the back door. We played kick the can and hide and seek and then there was Atari and Buddy Bell. Only a few of the material things that made it so special for me to stay at the Sundheimers. Missys mom made it feel warm and welcoming. Thank you. Rest in Peace dear lady.
