Kathryn Elizabeth Baker, age 100 years and 342 days, of Millersburg and formerly of Sandusky, Ohio passed away at her home on Saturday afternoon, February 3, 2018 surrounded by family.
Private services were held and a private family graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus, Ohio at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Interim Hospice, 232 Chestnut St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
Kathryn was born February 26, 1917 in Bucyrus, Ohio and was the daughter of W. S. and Hilda Marie (Gearhart) Davis. On April 30, 1939 she married Ira W. Baker and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1979.
Kathryn was a graduate of Bucyrus High School. She was a homemaker whose family said "her cooking was the best." Her family was her life and she enjoyed spending time with them. Kathryn was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Sandusky.
She is survived by five children; two sons with whom she lived with, William "Bill" Baker and Robert "Bob" Baker both of Millersburg and three daughters, Barbara Kruse of Alabama, Bonnie Baker of Millersburg, and Beverlee (John) Gibbs of Sandusky, Ohio; six grandchildren, Brian, Brett, Brad, Brant, Tadd, and Tiffany; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; one step great-grandchild; and a sister, Janet of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Dorothy and Esther.
