Helen B. Arnold, age 97, a Glenmont, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital, Wooster, Ohio following a sudden illness.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Glenmont, Ohio with Father Stephen L. Krile and Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. Burial will take place at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery. Helen was born September 10, 1919 in Danville, Ohio and was the daughter of Charles F. and Clara Anna (Dete) Smith.
Helen was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Glenmont, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Was a life member of the Coshocton VFW Auxiliary, the Holmes County Humane Society and the Seven Hills Garden Club. Helen is survived by seven children, Robert E. "Gene" (Faye) Arnold of Medina, Ohio, Eugenia Marie Doretich of Millersburg, Ohio, Lawrence J. Arnold of Millersburg, Ohio, Joan L. Gray of Glenmont, Ohio, Anne B. (Andy) Kochera of Lakeville, Ohio, Donald T. Arnold of Glenmont, Ohio and Julia R. (Charlie) Miller of Orrville, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Marilee Arnold of Wooster, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat Schopfer and Eugenia Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard Paul Arnold; a son-in-law, Larry Gray; two sisters, Regina (Loraine) Horn and Martina (Paul) Moritz; two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Schopfer and Luke Adams; and two grandsons, Michael Arnold and Michael Doretich.
