Dorothy Lucille Hart, 88, of Millersburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at her home after an extended illness.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg, with the Rev. Paula Koch officiating. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Love Center Food Pantry or to LifeCare Hospice.

Dorothy was born March 11, 1929, in Albany, Ky., the daughter of Lige K. and Christina (Cross) Pierce, and married Dr. Charles Hart. He preceded her in death July 21, 2017.

Dorothy was a 1951 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and was a registered nurse who worked for Castle Nursing Home, training state tested nurses assistants.

She was a member of Millersburg United Methodist Church.

Surviving are children, Hugh “Mac” Hart (Nancy) of Marietta, Ga., Anne C. Hart of Millersburg, Mary E. Bagley (Maurice) of Arthur, Ill., Thomas C. Hart (Deborah) and Robert A. Hart (Kathleen), both of Millersburg and Kenneth E. Hart (Dawn) of Wooster; grandchildren, Jennifer Lichtley (Tim), Joseph Bagley (Jennifer), Scott Bagley (Kathleen), Craig Bagley (Kristen), Kathleen Rose (Cody), Aaron Hart, Beth Martin (Charles), Laura Day (Aaron), Sarrah Lallier (Chris), Emily Ekdahl (James), Abigail Hart Zeledon (Rodrigo), Elizabeth Ley (Kavin); 22 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Singleton and Rebekah Pierce, both of Millersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and a great-grandson, Asher Joseph Ley.
