Denzil L. Thomas, age 88, of Holmesville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster, Ohio following a brief illness.
Graveside services will be 12 noon Friday at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio with Robert Hines officiating. There will be no calling hours. Denzil was born September 17, 1929 in East Liverpool, Ohio and was the son of Howard C. and Della (Hadley) Thomas. He married Shirley Hines and she survives.
Denzil attended Union Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan his favorite being baseball. He loved watching the Cleveland Indians, the Browns and the Cavs.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, David Thomas of Texas and Randy (Jackie) Thomas of Millersburg; step son, Robert (Ramona) Hines of Killbuck; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil Thomas of Kentucky and Kenneth Thomas of Arizona; two sisters, Lenora Lohman of Texas and Louella of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donovan of Kentucky.
