Bonnie Self Obituary

Bonnie Self, 75, of Millersburg, born May 31, 1942 in Manchester, MO passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a quick decline in health due to illness on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 She was surrounded by the people she loved most, her family.
Bonnie and her family moved here and made a home in Millersburg in 1967. She loved her community here in Holmes County and found great pleasure in volunteering and serving others. She knew no difference between friends and family, and valued the friendships and relationships she was blessed to experience over the decades she enjoyed here on this Earth.
She is deeply beloved and will be missed by her oldest son, Scott Self of Millersburg; her three grandchildren, Tanya (Joe) Chupp of Fredericksburg, Brandon Self of Wooster, and Jason (Annah) Self of Wooster; and great grandchildren, Brenden, Emma, Paul, Cassidy and Lizzie. Her sweet and treasured Daughter, Sheryl and FAVORITE son-in-law, Greg Conner of Millersburg, grandsons Cory Conner and Cliff (Tiff) Conner both of Millersburg, great grandchildren Cortney, Haylee, Callie and Tinley. Her beloved son, Todd (Jean) Self of Wooster; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Mellor, Christina and Caleb Edgar; and great grandsons Riggs and Dylan. And last but not least.... by her youngest son, Guy (Larisa) Self of Columbus; and grandchildren Jacob, Hannah, and Jillian.
She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Bernice in December of 1981, by her brother, Neil Preiss; and several aunts, uncles and a few very dear friends; but most recently by her precious daughter, Sheryl in the May of 2015. Sheryl was more than a daughter, she was a friend and hero in her mother’s eyes and brought her mother great joy and laughter, it was a loss that she never fully recovered from.
Along with her immediate family, she is survived by her beloved brother, Donnie Preiss of Auxvasse, MO; by a very dear cousin who was more like a sister and best friend, Barb (Lowell) Bowling of St. Louis, MO; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She valued and treasured each relationship and many hold very special places in her heart. She’d like to thank them for the treasured memories they share. She is also survived by her sweet dog Sophie. Sophie was a forever friend and companion and she will forever miss her Gram B.
